On September 2, 2015 Dianne began her first Trans Canada Trail water way in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia – canoeing what the Mi’kmaq call Pitu’pok (salt water) also known as Bras d’Or Lake, an inland sea. We picked up the canoe in Glace Bay which was generously loaned to Dianne by Jo-ann and Doug. I accompanied Dianne on the first two days of the paddle to do some filming. We launched from Little Bras d’Or, Arm of Gold Campground. Thanks to Jeff Ward for providing a place to stay while we waited for the wind to change.
