Well, this one’s a few months old but many thanks to Norma Côté and the Côté B&B Inn in Grand Falls NB for providing two nights accommodation and lots of animal excitement. The initial plan was for Dee to start back on her bike in Woodstock on March 16 after a few days reprieve back at the farm house in St. Damien. I (Ann Verrall) had arrived from Halifax to drive her there and provide support to get her to the Quebec boarder.
So on March 15 we headed off to Fredericton with the bike. When we awoke a snow storm had hit and there was no way biking was going to happen that day. But since we had our accommodations already in place in Grand Falls, we went. The weather kept us house bound in a gorgeous room with hot tub. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2-day winter retreat with Norma and all her animals.
Norma is a founding member of Char-Ma Rescue a local organization to rescue and find homes for abandoned cats and dogs. They sometimes stay with her until they can be resettled. We met a few during our stay. The family portrait is not complete but we sure had fun trying to wrangle them all.
